MIG and MAG welding produce varying amounts of spatter depending on the arc, which settles at the front end of the welding torch, affecting the shielding gas flow.

While optimizing welding parameters can reduce spatter formation, it cannot be fully prevented.

Using anti-spatter spray like Super Pistolenspray significantly reduces the adhesion of weld spatter to the torch components.

Effect of Super Pistolenspray

Super Pistolenspray is designed for use on the gas nozzle, also coating the contact tip and gas diffuser, but not suitable for pre-treating workpieces or clamping elements.
The spray adheres well to wear parts, but its flammability, due to the propane/butane propellant, is a safety concern.
Super Pistolenspray NF is a safer and more productive alternative from ABICOR BINZEL.
