The cerium oxide-doped TIG welding electrode is more resilient than pure tungsten but less so than E3® and lanthanum electrodes.
It is primarily used in the medium and lower current range for welding unalloyed and high-alloy steels, aluminum, copper, nickel, titanium, and magnesium alloys.
Suitable for both AC and DC welding, but offers less performance compared to the E3® electrode from ABICOR BINZEL.
